Fire at Marietta Masonic Temple

Brothers and Friends,

On Tuesday morning, March 28 2017, there was a fire at the Marietta Masonic Temple, and the building suffered some damage. It was caused by an Arsonist, who set fire to the main door frames, but he has been caught and is currently incarcerated.

From all reports, structural damage is minimal however smoke can be smelled in every corner of the Lodge. Several interior doors were damaged due to the Fire Department having to enter locked rooms (Library, Museum, etc.) and will have to be replaced.

This means that the Marietta Masonic Temple building will be out of commission for a few weeks while the smoke as well as physical damage is repaired.

If you have keys or access to the building, the Worshipful Master and Trustees ask that you please refrain from entering the building at this time.

For the next Regular Communication of Kennesaw Lodge #33 on April 4, 2017, we are being graciously hosted by Nelms Lodge #323 at 455 Concord Road, Smyrna GA, 30082.
